Church Planting Movement Coordinator
The role is part of the Thailand Hub operations.
The purpose of the CPM Coordinator is to provide leadership and direction over the church planting movements we begin in the community. This position is responsible to keep the CPM leaders accountable to their role in GFM by making sure that Staff, Students and Apprentices are developing the “hands competencies” needed to thrive on the mission field. This ministry role is full-time and support-raising is required. The CPM Coordinator has the ability to work on site and from home on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a part of the local leadership team giving strategic direction specifically as it relates to disciple making and church planting among unreached people groups in the local community; be a liaison helping connect the CPM team to mobilization and training efforts.
- Give spiritual direction to the CPM team ensuring GFM staff stays Christ-centered; organize corporate prayer and worship times for the CPM team.
- Give strategic direction to the CPM team providing vision for the multiplication of disciples and churches in the local context, always encouraging the team to move forward.
- Organize and implement meetings for celebration, strategy, accountability, and fellowship.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of the CPM ministry in the community bringing clarity, focus, and alignment to help leaders/teams meet their goals.
- Provide coaching, mentoring and support for the various team leaders/members of the CPM team helping connect them to the resources they need to achieve their goals.
- Organize GFM events including gospel conversations and disciple making training.
- Ensure that Staff, Students and Apprentices are growing in their cross-cultural competency as they are equipped to serve in Thailand and other overseas locations - working in conjunction with the GFM training group.
Required Qualifications
- Must personally embrace GFM’s purpose, vision, values, and statement of faith
- Must identify as a maturing believer in Jesus Christ with a high view of Scripture (2 Tim 3:16-17; Col 3:16-17)
- Must demonstrate humility, teachability, and an ability to work well with others (Eph 4:15)
- Must display advanced interpersonal relational skills and be dedicated to peacemaking (Heb 10:24-25)
- Must function well both independently and in a team environment (1 Cor 12:25-26)
- Must have a passion to see individuals and churches activated to God’s Kingdom Mission
- Must be able to cast the vision of general missions topics as well as GFM opportunities to those involved in the prayer-support ministry
- Must be ready to experience significant missions training and leadership development through GFM’s Missionary Training School (in person sessions or online)
- Must have at least 3-5 years of overseas cross-cultural experience including significant experience in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting
Recommended
- A College Degree is preferred but not required; informal training in management, organization, leadership, and or ministry also acceptable
